Set of one mounted miniature partially inspired in the painting The surrender of Jülich (1634-1635), oil on canvas by Jusepe Leonardo (1601-1652), Museo del Prado, Madrid.

Ambrogio Spinola (Genoa, 1569 - Castelnuovo Scrivia, 25 de septiembre de 1630) military career:

  • Eighty Years War: sieges of Ostend (1603-1604), Sluis (1604), Lingen (1605), Groenlo (1606), Bergen op Zoom (1622), Breda (1625).
  • War of the Jülich Succesion: siege of Aachen (1614).
  • Thirty Years War: Palatinate campaign (1620), conquest of Oppenheim (1620), siege of Jülich (1620).
  • War of the Mantua Succession: siege of Casale (1629-1630).

Contain metal, figures supplied unpainted.
